What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is State Storage. Based on the EOS mainnet, developers can develop and run DAPP. Just like our computer and mobile phone, if you want to run DAPP you need CPU, bandwidth and storage. In the EOS mainnet, users can sell your EOS to acquire CPU and bandwidth, the RAM you can receive is determined by proportion of your EOS. RAM is required to real trade in blockchain, and its price is determined by the market.
Users’ EOS snapshot corresponds to your RAM ownership. To run DAPP or create EOS account, you need to buy RAM. In order to satisfy the supply and demand of EOS, the trading of EOS are derived.
How to buy and sell RAM?
In fact, sale of RAM is that you sell EOS to EOS.IO system account in blockchain. The object of the transaction is not the buyer and seller, but the EOS system. RAM trading is not token trading. Whether buying RAM (sell your EOS and get RAM), or selling RAM (acquire your EOS and release RAM) is the interaction between the participate and the system account. You can only buy RAM form or sell RAM to EOS.IO system, RAM cannot transfer between accounts and you cannot withdraw RAM. The price of RAM is automatically priced according to the Bancor algorithm. RAM price is automatically balanced according to changes in the supply and demand relationship, hence users cannot know the transaction price at the time when they are trading. After the sale and buy is successful, users can check the real trading situation and the buying and selling price through TXID.

Each RAM transaction will cost about 0.5% of the total transaction amount as the trading fee. This part of the fee belongs to the on chain cost, and not the BigONE platform charge.
