What is Lampix(PIX) ?
We are building the first blockchain based ‘image mining’ network for augmented reality or any other computer vision system, such as the Lampix product. We are creating a new blockchain that will hold {image, description} data-sets of real world objects. This data is a vital prerequisite for augmenting reality systems ranging from smartphones, wearable glasses, or our own Lampix product.
To enable Lampix to reach its full potential, we need to build a billion-picture-and-description database. We will use PIX tokens to grow the data ecosystem through purchases and payments.
The Use of PIX Token
The tokens will be used for trading image data sets (buying images, selling images), for the voting system used to ensure consensus, for rewarding “image miners” for their work such as image segmentation etc.
PIX Distribution
The tokens were distributed in August 2017.
1.1 billion PIX were created. Out of them 30% are reserves, 20% are for the Lampix team.
The tokens set in reserve are under the following rules:
- 25% will be locked for 12 months
- 25% will be locked for 24 months
- 25% will be locked for 36 months
- 25% will be locked for 48 months
Tokens set aside for the team are used as follows:
- 25% of them will be available in the same time as for the public.
- 25% of them will be locked for 12 months
- 25% of them will be locked for 24 months
- 25% of them will be locked for 36 months
